The Salon
As we mentioned, we chose and have been very happy with a customized trailer as our mobile pet salon. There is plenty of room, it is fully equipped and it really makes a
statement when people see you out on the road. We think this is a great way to go to keep your start-up costs down and it has been a perfect fit for OC
Mobile Pet Salon, but it may not appeal to everyone for various reasons.
Towing: You will need to have a vehicle capable of towing a trailer.
Parking: You will need somewhere to park your trailer over night.
Driving: You will need to feel comfortable towing a trailer. This may seem harder than it is. With a little practice, even people that have never towed before can become very comfortable.
Salon pricing varies greatly from builder to builder and from type to type (Fully Equipped Trailers ~$25k and up, Conversions ~$40k and up) . We've found that the trailer offers the most bang for your buck and can refer you
to the nation's top builder if you are interested. We encourage you to look at the other types of salons to see what you feel most comfortable in. We will help you make the right decision for your
new business and your circumstances. Mobile salons can typically be financed over longer periods of time, helping to keep your start-up costs and monthly expenses to a minimum.
Clippers, Scissors & Other Fun Stuff
If you're serious about grooming, you need to be serious about your tools. That's not to say that you need to spend a lot of money on anything you might need, it means that you need to spend the right amount on only the things you will actually need.
By the end of your training you will know exactly what you need and we will help you create a list of exactly what you need, where to get it and how much it will cost. There's no need to guess at how much money you are going to need to spend to launch your business, that's why we're here.
Supplies
Staying busy also means staying stocked up with the right supplies and this doesn't have to take up all of your free time.
We'll show you what we use, where we get it and how much it costs. In less than an hour a week, you'll be fully stocked and able to spend
all of your work time working and not supply shopping.
Service Providers
We'll include regular business expenses like insurance and other monthly services in this section. As part of the training package we will
include a complete list of the service providers we use and the details of what is included and at what cost. This
way you can see a real world cost projection and you can use who we use to save time or just use the information
to shop around for your own deals.
